We will have 2 courts. Our resident expert\, George Demos will give tips to the intermediate players while Gina will coach the beginners. We will have extra paddles and plenty of balls. SUMMARY:HIKING WEEKEND AT THENDARA MOUNTAIN CLUB IN HARRIMAN STATE PARK 
DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin the Morris County Ski Club for a weekend retreat at the Thendara lodge in Harriman State Park on September 27 – 28\, 2025.   \nThendara is a social club where members and their guests enjoy hiking\, kayaking and swimming. The lodge is located near Lake Tiorati\, where members have access to a private swimming dock and a boathouse stocked with kayaks\, canoes\, paddles and life jackets. (Note: the swimming dock will most likely be closed for annual maintenance)   \nAccommodations: A rustic lodge with a main room\, surrounded by six bedrooms that accommodate up to 17 people\, with 2 – 4 single beds per room. There is a modern kitchen and two wash-up rooms in the lodge\, and an outhouse approximately 50 feet outside the lodge. A screened in bunkhouse and tent sites are available for those who would like to sleep in an outdoor setting. Mattresses and wool blankets are provided\, but please be sure to bring your own bedding/sleeping bag. The lodge has good filtered well water\, so bring a reusable water bottle.   \nSee https://thendaramountainclub.com/ for more details.  \nThendara is run by member volunteers. During hosted weekends meals are included\, and each weekend participant helps with 1 meal prep or clean-up.   \n  \nHappy hour appetizers are served around 6pm\, followed by dinner. Please note any food restrictions/allergies in the RSVP. \nOptional Activity: We will organize a 3 – 5 mile hike\, which will start promptly at 12:30pm on Saturday. DESCRIPTION:Join the Morris County Ski Club on Saturday\, September 6th\, for our beach bike ride in Point Pleasant\, NJ. \nBegin the day with a choice of two bike rides 20 or 35 miles. Both rides will be on flat\, lightly traveled roads. The 20-mile ride will go to Allaire State Park while the longer ride will have an additional 15-mile loop after Allaire State Park. We’ll start and finish at Risden’s Beach & Bath House. Once the ride is over\, we’ll head over to a local place for lunch and libations. If the weather is nice\, we may also get some beach time in! \nDETAILS:  \n\n Meeting time: 9:30 AM. Bike rides will roll at 10:00 AM sharp. Throughout the day there will be performances by the Jazz Ambassadors (the 19 piece touring band of the US Army)\, Blues People and King Solomon Hicks. \nSo\, grab your lawn chair or blanket and head down to meet event leader Tony Tarullo for some or all of the music that day. \nThe Morristown Green will have port-a-potties set up as well as plenty of restaurants nearby at which you can grab a bite to eat. You can also bring food and drinks to the event (though alcohol is prohibited). DESCRIPTION:Turkey Mountain\nMontville\, NJ\n  \nDate: Saturday\, June 21\, 2025\nTime: 9:30 AM\n  \nMeeting Location: Pyramid Mountain Visitor’s Center \nDifficulty: Moderate  \nHike distance: 5 to 6 miles \nTime: About 3.5 hours to 4 hours \n  \nDescription: An easy to moderate hike at Turkey Mountain. There are a couple of climbs on the hike\, but they are not exceptionally long and moderate in steepness. A significant part of the hike will be easy. There are views of Lake Valhalla and NYC. Two army buddies enlist the help of their showbiz pals to put on a show at a picturesque Vermont inn and end up finding their perfect mates. DESCRIPTION:Morris County Ski Club Hike            Sterling Forest/Bare Rock Tuxedo\, NY\nDate:  Saturday\, October 26\, 2024\nTime:  9:30 AM\nMeeting Location:  Sterling Forest Visitor Area \nDifficulty:  Moderate/Strenuous  \nHike distance: About 8 miles \nTime: About 4.5 hours \n  \nDescription: Join the Morris Ski Club on a moderate/strenuous hike in the Sterling Forest of New York.    First we will visit the remnants of an old iron mine and furnace.  After a few miles we will arrive at Bare Rock which offers a fantastic view of Greenwood Lake including the parts where we have gone paddle boarding.  We will then continue the hike with a climb involving some minor rock scrambling to the Sterling Forest Fire Tower for some additional views.  We will finish off the day by going to a nearby bar and grill (probably Rhodes North). \nImportant Notes for the hike: \n\nHiking boots are highly recommended as the trails are rocky in spots and can be muddy\nDaypack to carry extra clothing\, sufficient water and your snack or lunch.  \nBare Rock and the Fire Tower are great for photos.\nRestroom facilities are located inside the visitor’s center.\nGPS Coordinates: 41.19787\,-74.256125.\nCell Phone reception can be spotty at the visitor’s center\n\n  \nDirections to the hike location from Morristown: \n\nTake I-287 North – merging briefly onto the NYS Thruway (toward Albany) but \n\nimmediately exiting at 15A onto Rte 17 North  \n\nTurn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Route 17 and head north for 1.4 miles to the exit for Sterling Forest.\nFollow Sterling Mine Road (County Route 72) west for 3.0 miles.\nAt the traffic light\, turn right onto Long Meadow Road (County Route 84).\nTake Long Meadow Road past IBM for a total of 3.5 miles.\nTurn left onto Old Forge Road\nAfter 0.3 mile make a right and continue on Old Forge Road.\nParking lot will be on the right.  The Visitor’s Center is a short walk from the parking lot.\n\n  \nFor additional directions enter Sterling Forest Visitor’s Center.  \n  \nFor more information please contact Paul Van Duyne C (201) 470-9317. \nEmail:  p_vanduyne@yahoo.com.  Advanced sign up by e-mail is not required but is appreciated.   \nTo contact Paul the day of the hike with any other questions (201) 470-9317.  After 9 AM you may also have to try the Visitors Center (1-845-351-5907) due to poor cell phone reception.

Pine Creek features two challenging 18-hole miniature golf courses over acres of the beautiful Amwell Valley. Both courses are spread over creeks and through Hunterdon County’s scenic and storied countryside. Each features par 4’s and always rewards intelligent strategy over conventional putting skill.
