HIKING WEEKEND AT THENDARA MOUNTAIN CLUB IN HARRIMAN STATE PARK
Join the Morris County Ski Club for a weekend retreat at the Thendara lodge in Harriman State Park on September 27 – 28, 2025.
Thendara is a social club where members and their guests enjoy hiking, kayaking and swimming. The lodge is located near Lake Tiorati, where members have access to a private swimming dock and a boathouse stocked with kayaks, canoes, paddles and life jackets. (Note: the swimming dock will most likely be closed for annual maintenance)
Accommodations: A rustic lodge with a main room, surrounded by six bedrooms that accommodate up to 17 people, with 2 – 4 single beds per room. There is a modern kitchen and two wash-up rooms in the lodge, and an outhouse approximately 50 feet outside the lodge. A screened in bunkhouse and tent sites are available for those who would like to sleep in an outdoor setting. Mattresses and wool blankets are provided, but please be sure to bring your own bedding/sleeping bag. The lodge has good filtered well water, so bring a reusable water bottle.

Thendara is run by member volunteers. During hosted weekends meals are included, and each weekend participant helps with 1 meal prep or clean-up.
Happy hour appetizers are served around 6pm, followed by dinner. Breakfast and a bagged lunch on Sunday are included.
BYOB – Bring your own alcohol. Please note any food restrictions/allergies in the RSVP.
Optional Activity: We will organize a 3 – 5 mile hike, which will start promptly at 12:30pm on Saturday. Feel free to arrive earlier to unpack before the hike. The entrance gate will be unlocked by 11:00 Saturday morning.
Bring lunch / snack. RSVP to join the hike.
Payment: Approximately $45 – $50 (exact amount TBD)

The camp is labeled T20 and situated on Seven Lakes Drive, 1.8 miles north of the Kanawaukee Circle and 2.0 miles south of Tiorati Circle. For GPS: “1984 Seven Lakes Drive Southfields NY”
The gate will be closed. Please note how it is secured and be sure to close it the same way behind you.
