Dinner at American Bounty Restaurant at the Culinary Institute of America

May 31 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

We have a reservation for ten people at American Bounty restaurant at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Poughkeepsie at 6:00 p.m.
on Saturday, May 31. The restaurant focuses on regional and seasonal products through contemporary and traditional dishes.
The CIA is a private culinary school with 3 main restaurants (there is a French and an Italian one in addition to American Bounty).  They are operated entirely by the students, many of whom go on to careers in the finest restaurants throughout the world.  The school is located on the banks of the beautiful Hudson River and there are many sites to see and activities to do before dinner (or the following day if people decide to stay over).
In addition to breweries and vineyards that offer tastings, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum is nearby with lovely grounds and gardens.  As well, there is the Walkway Over the Hudson, a state park that, no surprise, is a walkway over the Hudson, the longest elevated pedestrian bridge in the world at 1.28 miles.
For those who wish to make a weekend of it, there are numerous lodging options many of which are discounted with reservations made through the website
If you wish to sign up for the dinner, please contact Jodi Lee Alper at [email protected].
Car pooling can be considered for those who choose to return home after the dinner.
